Kickoff Event
Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce the first workshop to be sponsored by NC
FASD Informed:Â
Creating Hope through the Neurobehavioral Lens.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a spectrum of diagnoses used to identify the specific lifelong, neurodevelopmental challenges of individuals affected by prenatal alcohol exposure. We have chosen this topic carefully as our kickoff event because of the importance of recognizing FASD as an invisible brain-based physical condition with behavioral symptoms. Families have reported great success by viewing and interacting with their children through a new lens, the neurobehavioral approach rather than one based on traditional learning theory assumptions.
Please see the attachment for an overview of the day and how to register. Â
We hope to see you April 14th!
In hope,
Â
