Innovations Waiver
A Lifetime of Supports
Many parents say “I don’t think she will need services.” Or “I will wait and see if he needs them.”
This session will help you understand why this may not be the best approach, what services are available while on the waiting list and once a Waiver is granted, and how to apply.
The NC Innovations Waiver is designed to meet the needs of individuals with Intellectual or Development Disabilities (I/DD) who prefer to get long-term care services and supports in their home or community rather than in an institutional setting.
Michelle Merritt, an IDD Clinical Consultant at NC Medicaid, Behavioral Health Unit will be our presenter.
